I don't think we learned something new this week. This week was basically solve some problems about the rate at which ......... and to do homework. What I am struggling is that I can solve math problems, but my answers are wrong. When I look at the explanation, it makes sense. But, I don't know why and how I've got different answers.
So, I am worried about the chapter test next week. It is our last quiz before winter break, so I hope I do well on the test. Chapter 4 was quite long and I need to look at the textbook, my notes, handouts, and some examples for each question. Those are what I have to do this weekend.
Next week is our last week in 2014. I know that we have a quiz and, for the rest of the week, I expect we learn new stuffs in chapter 5. Participation is not required much this week, because we mostly worked on problems individually.
The problem that I struggled the most was #50 on page 258. I did not understand why
(12-h)/12 = r/h. But, we did it on the whiteboard and how the equation was set made sense (similarity). See picture below.
