My first book: The false prince
This book is to find a lost princess. A noble man who wants power selected three young orphans and worked with them to make one the princess. At the last chapter, Sage, one of the orphans, became the princess. But, the truth is he is the real princess. He was lost when he was a little kid and he had lived in other country. This is because the king noticed that some nobles threatened the throne and their lives. Sage came to the castle safely and became a king, and he punished the greedy noble man who killed the king and his family. The process to make three orphans look like a princess took long time. While I was reading it, I thought the part of training was boring. I understand training takes long because one has to be a princess and they were not educated that much. Also, it doesn't mention about the maid, Imogen. She liked Sage, and so did he. The author also mentioned betrothed princess, Amanda, so it is up to him to decide who's going to marry him. This part makes the readers imagine the final of the book. Anyway, it was my favorite English book I have ever read.
my second book: miss peregrine's home for peculiar children
This book is about a boy, Jacob, who is looking for his grandpa's orphanage. It was located on the island in the England, and Jacob and his dad went to the island. While he was trying to find the place, he met someone else hardly. She knew his grandpa stayed there a long time ago, and finally brought him to the orphanage. Literally, it was the gathering of peculiar children, one can levitate, and one is extremely strong. After he spent a week with them, he decided to go back home. But, his best friend told him he was also a peculiar child, and they need him. Although he got confused, he decided to stay there. Until the middle part of the book, it didn't mention Jacob is a peculiar child, so I thought 'Wow, why doesn't he go back to his country? He already found the special orphans where his grandpa had stayed. His duty was done.' But, the most impressive part was when his best friend told him he and his grandpa were peculiar. So, I got to know why he had to stay there. Now, that makes sense. I can't believe he remains the same age, though.
My third book: night
This author, Elie Wiesel, describes the lives of Jewish people during the world war 2. They lived in the small town of Sighet in Transylvania. One day, the town was threatened by German soldiers, and people in the town had to go to concentration camps. At first, the camp life wasn't that bad, and they believed they would get free soon. However, they had to move to other concentration camps again and again and worked for German who treated Jewish like non-humans. Many families separated, even after the war, they suffered a lot from the bad experience. I have heard of concentration camps before, but I haven't read the book of it. It was so sad, and I understand it more than others do. Korea has big two wars in the 1900s. The first one is Korea was colonized by Japan. Japanese abused, slaughtered Koreans, and did medical experiments on living bodies. Although I didn't go through such difficult times, I knew a lot of people had incurable illnesses on their body and mind. These events were awful, there should be no wars around the world. I searched the life of Ellie Wiesel and found out that he had helped Jewish people. He deserved the nobel peace prize, and he must have been a helpful person to many Jewish people. Everyone who has suffered from such abuses should be compensated by the country who is charge of the abuses. The countries should feel guilty and be conscious.
